Hi, I’m Kat. I’m a Canadian gal who loves getting outdoors — whether it's hiking up to mountain summits, rock climbing or just enjoying a quiet, rainy day with a good fantasy novel. Nature is where I feel most at home, and it's the place where I feel grounded and most at ease.
My Story
For a long time, I worked in the corporate world. On paper, it looked like everything was going well. But deep down, I felt unfulfilled. I was stuck in a job that didn’t align with my passions or values. I was going through the motions, but it never felt like that was where I was meant to be or spend my energy on for the next 30+ years.
Then I became a mother. The day I seen those two little pink lines, everything shifted. I realized that if I wanted to set the right example for him, I couldn’t keep waiting for things to change. I had to make a change myself. I wanted to show him that it’s possible to build a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your true self.
In January 2024, I made the decision to start my own social media management and marketing business. I left behind the security of my 9-5 job and jumped into the unknown. It was scary. It’s still a little scary some days. But it’s also the best decision I’ve ever made because I decided to bet on myself.
Since making that decision I have helped multiple companies build successful marketing strategies for their social media platforms, email marketing and help take the stress off of business owner's shoulders when it comes down to creating content and finding the time to edit that content. I wake up and now do work I care about, create my own schedule, and built something that I’m proud of. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
If you’re feeling stuck or uncertain in your own career, know that it’s okay to take a step back and reassess what you really want. It’s never too late to make a change, and sometimes the scariest decisions lead to the best outcomes.
